Booking Contract

The Valley is operated by The Valley Cottages Ltd. The renting of a cottage will form a contract between the person paying the deposit and signing the reservation form, who must be over 18 years old, and the company. Confirmation will be by invoice showing full details of the amounts and the balance due. Telephone bookings will be held provisionally for 7 days only. If no contact is made during that time the cottage will be made re -available for booking.

Cancellation Policy

No monies are refundable in the event of cancellation. Deposits can be transferred to a future booking if cancellation is more than 6 weeks before holiday start date. We strongly advise holiday insurance, details of which will be sent on receipt of booking form.

Accommodation

Cottages are offered subject to them being unbooked at the time of receipt of deposit.

Unsuitable Persons

The Management reserves the right not to take bookings from "all male" or "all female" parties or similar groups. The Management reserves the right to refuse entry or to eject from the Valley and its accommodation any person who in the Management's opinion is unsuitable to take charge or who causes nuisance or disturbance to other guests or staff.

Accommodation Non Availability

The company is relieved of responsibility and financial liability in the event of the cottage offered and booked in good faith, not being available owing to storm, fire, non completion of construction or such other causes beyond the control of the Company.

Non-Arrival

Cottages, although booked and paid for, must be claimed and occupied within 24 hours of the due time of arrival. The Management reserve the right to re-let the accommodation after 24 hours unless prior advice of delayed arrival has been received.

VAT

All charges quoted are inclusive of the VAT at 17.5%. The Company reserves the right to amend this tax element in the event of a change of VAT rate.

Termination

When the accommodation key is handed in to the office to a member of the company's staff or in the Managements opinion the accommodation has been vacated, the contract is discharged.

Guns

Guns, Airguns or firearms of any kind are not allowed at The Valley. If found they will be removed to safe custody.

Fires

Open fires are not allowed anywhere on The Valley. Barbecues are permitted, but should be used responsibly so as to cause no damage to the park or its equipment.

Breakages

All breakages and damage must be reported and paid for. The accommodation must be left clean and tidy on departure. A returnable deposit will be taken on arrival by credit card or cheque to cover any damages or additional cleaning requirements found after departure.

Dogs

A maximum of two dogs is permitted in specific cottages only. The Management reserve the right to refuse admission to or to eject from the Valley any dogs, which they consider inappropriate as a family pet at a family location. Dogs may not be left unaccompanied in cottages and are not allowed on beds or settees. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when on the Valley grounds. Dogs must be exercised well away from the accommodation areas. Owners not complying with these rules will be required to remove the offending dog(s) immediately. Dogs are not allowed in the bar, play or pool areas.

Amenities/Entertainment

The Company will make every endeavour to provide amenities and entertainment as stated in the brochure. However, due to lack of support in particular by artists or performers, or other reasons outside the control of the Company, it may be necessary to withdraw some of these amenities or entertainment at short notice. The Company reserves this right. In early and late season all facilities may not be open.

Responsibilities

The proprietors disclaim all responsibility for any injury to guests or their children whilst they are enjoying the use of the equipment and facilities at The Valley. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at all times especially in the play area and swimming pools. The proprietors disclaim all responsibility for any injury or damage to guests property or to their person or to their children by fire, theft, water or any third party or by any means whatsoever whilst they are at The Valley. This includes Acts of God, Natural disasters, War, animals and insects.

The proprietors reserve the right to waive any particular conditions in individual cases or to amend or vary the terms and conditions as they may decide in their absolute discretion.

Swimming Pool Safety

  • No unsupervised swimming for children under 16
  • No jumping, diving or pushing into the pools.
  • No large inflateables or floats in the pools.
  • Ensure everyone is aware of differing depths in pools before swimming.
  • No swimming after 8 p.m.

Gym Safety

  • No responsibility is accepted for any guest using the gym.
  • Medical clearance to use the gym should be obtained from your doctor prior to your arrival.

Please ensure that you also read comprehensive information on gym and swimming pool safety provided on your arrival to The Valley.

Consideration For Others

Music Systems and televisions must be kept at low volume and must not be audible outside the cottage. We welcome children but ask that to ensure the peace and quiet after 10:30 pm parents or guardians personally supervise the under 18s.

The swimming pools and children's play area close at 8:00 pm and are not supervised. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at all times.

Smoking

All accommodation & leisure facilities are non-smoking.
