MARAZION CARNIVAL, OVERLOOKING MOUNTS BAY

13 June 2012

Anyone visiting Cornwall towards the end of July who wants to experience fun, local events that are suitable for the whole family might want to get along to the Southern Cornish town of Marazion for their annual carnival on July 24.

Marazion is the small coastal town overlooking Mounts Bay, which is home to the famous St Michael's Mount, sitting just half of a mile offshore. The carnival will start with a procession through the town and end up Folly Field, a local spot given over entirely to events.

There will be free entertainment between 12 noon and 6pm, with music from live bands, a traditional tug-o-war competition, games, side shows, vendor stalls, and plenty of activities for children, including a Punch & Judy Show. There will be plenty of refreshment available with cream teas, a barbeque and a beer tent all on offer.
